About Me
I am a software engineer who believes in the transformative power of technology.
The Beginning
My journey into tech began unexpectedly with a scholarship to study Computer Science in Zimbabwe.
My first programming test score was a humbling 2/50, but this initial setback fueled my determination. Through self-learning and countless nights watching TheNewBoston tutorials by Bucky Roberts, I not only caught up but eventually became a go-to resource for my classmates.
Community & Growth
A turning point in my journey came in 2017 when I attended the launch of Facebook Developer Circles in Harare. This exposure to the tech community opened my eyes to the vast possibilities in software development and the power of community-driven learning.
Professional Journey
My journey began at FreelyFormd where I developed LabXpert. This experience taught me the real impact software can have on people's lives.
At GitStart I discovered the power of open-source collaboration. Contributing to projects like Cal.com and Supabase opened my eyes to how software development transcends individual contributions.
My role at Pack and representing the company at DOHE's Go-Together Accelerator Program taught me to think beyond code and understand how technical decisions impact business outcomes.
As a Technical Hiring Consultant at G2i, I experienced the other side of the tech industry - evaluating and building engineering teams. This role gave me invaluable insights into what makes a great developer beyond just technical skills: communication, adaptability, and the ability to see the bigger picture.
